DESCRIPTION:The Annual Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon\, benefiting Lupus LA\, is the premiere charity event bringing together the most stylish and fabulous of LA’s “ladies who lunch.” Since its launch in 2003\, the event has featured some of the most prominent names in fashion and haute couture. Presently\, 90% of people living with lupus are women. In recognition of that statistic\, this year’s Bag Ladies Luncheon will be focused on celebrating our female patients\, and will create an environment of beauty\, empowerment and strength. \nA woman with lupus is like a vintage handbag—the scuffs tell her story\, the wear makes her wise\, the experience makes her a classic—and she is revered by all.  The Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon is an opportunity for all women to celebrate the beauty and strength that is born from our challenges. \nHONOREE \n \nDr. Sheila Barbarino\nWoman of Achievement Award \nThis year\, we are proud to honor Sheila Barbarino\, MD with the Woman of Achievement Award. Dr. Barbarino is a board-certified surgeon with a fellowship in oculo-facial plastics/cosmetic plastic surgery. She specializes in full body and face cosmetic surgery and is best known for her comprehensive treatments for all skin types\, including those with autoimmune disorders. She is a world-renowned speaker\, teacher\, and lecturer at medical symposiums who focuses on cutting edge technology and techniques. \nHost and AuctioneerBilly HarrisFor the past twenty-five years\, Billy Harris has been wowing audiences throughout the United States and around the world. His razor-sharp timing and brilliant improvisational skills have made him one of the most sought-after Auctioneers in the business. A cousin of Vaudeville great Georgie Jessel\, Billy has been performing his entire life. By the tender age of five and a half\, he understood how to “work a room”! \nHis contagious energy and explosive style will create an atmosphere that will have the audience laughing while opening their wallets!
